Ricky Cunningham

Born and raised in Alva, Oklahoma so I know northwest Oklahoma pretty well. Graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with both a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree. Worked as a uniform police office for the Alva Police Department and later the Midland Texas Police Department. Served as a juvenile intake, probation and parole counselor with the State of Oklahoma before working as the District Attorney’s Criminal Investigator for the District Attorney for District 26, State of Oklahoma. As a result of my education and experience, I had a lot of courtroom experience, and exposure to the juvenile and criminal justice systems, prior to attending law school. I attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law where I graduated with distinction. Since graduation I have practiced in Alva, Oklahoma, and throughout the State of Oklahoma. My practice encompasses a number of areas, both civil and criminal. It includes family, juvenile and domestic law, estate planning and probate, criminal law, business entities (i.e., LLC, partnerships, corporations, joint ventures, etc.), and a general civil and criminal trial practice. I have over 33 years of experience, including serving as the City Attorney for the City of Alva and as the board attorney for the Alva Hospital Authority for the past 24 years.
