Tamara Mulembo is a fierce and tireless advocate for her clients and brings over seventeen years of experience and innovation to her cases. Tamara has defended high profile criminal cases in state and federal court, including death penalty cases. Tamara clerked for the Honorable Philip G. Espinosa of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two. After her clerkship, she practiced criminal defense in the Offices of the Pima County Public Defender in the Spanish Felony Trial Unit. Tamara left the County Public Defender’s Office to join State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company’s Corporate Law Department as Claim Litigation Counsel where she litigated personal injury and premises liability cases. She was later recruited to the Federal Public Defender’s Office where she served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender and Trial Team Leader. Tamara was detailed to the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, Defender Services Office, Training Division in Washington, DC. She is a skilled educator who trains attorneys and staff across the nation. Tamara also served as Chief Deputy in Pima County Attorney’s Office where she supervised over 320 employees.
