Thomas L. Edwards is a lifelong Floridian. He was born in Miami Beach and grew up in Hollywood, Florida. He moved to Gainesville to attend college and graduated from the University of Florida (Bachelor of Science with Honors, 1983). Upon graduation, he was selected by the University of Florida to be the first student to participate in the combined Criminology and Law program and became that program’s first graduate in 1986 obtaining his Masters Degree with Honors and his Juris Doctorate.
