Neil Bhartia

Attorney Bhartia is an award winning bankruptcy and personal injury attorney with a broad range of legal and international business experience. Mr. Bhartia earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law. While there, he served as President of the International Law Society, Editor for the Law Journal, Academic Fellow, and Student Ambassador. Prior to Syndicate Legal, Neil has worked in the legal department of the Screen Actors Guild where he was involved with arbitration between studios/producers and the Guild, and has also held positions with the Public Law Center in the area of consumer fraud, and Macey & Aleman, the largest consumer bankruptcy firm in the country, where he was Senior Attorney for their Glendale office. Additionally, he was a partner at Shatford Law and continues to be of counsel to that firm. Attorney Bhartia possesses a Bachelor of International Business degree from Carleton University (Ottawa, Ontario), with a focus in International Management and Spanish. He completed his MBA with a triple-major in finance, real property development, and strategy from York University (Toronto, Ontario). He has broad international work and study experience in the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Mexico. Along with finance, marketing, and business development positions, Neil has worked in industries ranging from military and high-tech to education. Neil is fluent in French and Spanish and currently heads the bankruptcy practice area. Mr. Bhartia is admitted to the State Bar of California, the US Federal Court, and the Central and Southern Districts of California. He is a member of the LA County Bar Association and volunteers with Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles teaching Chapter 7 Bankruptcy to self-preparers. In 2013 Mr. Bhartia was awarded the William J Lasarow Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service.
