Jeff Vinzani opened the Charleston office of the firm after over 20 years as an Equity Partner at a large regional law firm. Jeff practices commercial real estate and banking law. Although he practices in many areas of business law, Jeff’s primary focus is on complex real estate and finance transactions. His real estate experience includes commercial, office, retail, resort and industrial development and leasing. Jeff also handles permitting, zoning, development agreements, 1031 exchange transactions, property owners’ association matters and title insurance. His finance experience encompasses real estate lending, asset-based lending and secured transactions. Jeff possesses extensive experience representing a wide variety of financial institutions in complex transactions, as well as workouts, loan sales, collections and debt modifications. Jeff is extensively engaged in the community and the state. Since May 2015, Jeff has been serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of South Carolina State University. Jeff is past Chairman of the Real Estate Practices Section of the South Carolina Bar and served as the Council’s House Delegate. He has served two terms as Chairman of the Developers Council of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, comprised of members of the Chamber who represent a number of sectors of the real estate development community. Jeff is currently serving as a member of the Community Advisory Board for Suntrust Bank. Jeff also served on the Transition Team for State Treasurer Curtis Loftis as Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Board of Financial Institutions and was co-author of the Treasurer’s Transition Report. Jeff is Peer Review Rated – Av (Preeminent) in Martindale-Hubbell; he is listed in Chambers USA – Best in His Field – Real Estate Law and has been listed in the prestigious Best Lawyers in America since 2010. Jeff is a contributing author of the book Practical Guide to Commercial Real Estate in South Carolina.
