David Romano
West Virginia
David J. Romano has been practicing law for almost 40 years after graduating from West Virginia University School of Law in 1977. He then was the Judicial Law Clerk for Federal District Court Judge Charles H. Haden, II, who at that time was the only Federal Judge in West Virginia serving both the Northern and Southern Districts. At the conclusion of his work for the Federal Court, he returned to his home town of Clarksburg, West Virginia where he first was an Associate and then a Partner in Young, Morgan, Cann & Romano until 1986. He then opened his own practice of Romano Law Office and concentrated on trial and appellate work, including both State and Federal criminal defense, tort and insurance cases, including medical malpractice and other similar matters. His practice later developed to include complex class action litigation. He currently remains in private practice but no longer is involved in criminal defense but has been an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Harrison County, on a primarily pro bono basis, for more than 20 years trying major felony cases and is engaged in other law enforcement duties.
