I have been practicing law for more than 40 years, and I am a founding partner in the firm. I have chosen to specialize in helping people with personal injuries because I care. I represent injured workers in their workers’ compensation claims and people who have been injured due to the negligence of others. One case that was particularly meaningful for me was when I represented a man who had been a laborer all of his life. He was essentially at the end of his career and he fell and injured his back. He had no high school diploma and he was functionally illiterate. My client was filled with common sense and was a very likable guy. The workers’ compensation insurer denied his claim and we fought for years to get him the benefits he deserved. It took us finding the right expert to make his case a winner. Although the case lasted for several years, the client did not give up hope. We won his case and got him what he wanted. At the end of his case, my client told me “That was a nice piece of work, Ron.†That made me feel great. That is why I enjoy doing this type of work. I enjoy cooking and living in Central Vermont. Long-term meaningful relationships with people are very important to me.
