Kris Gardner’s practice focuses primarily in local government law, litigation and alcoholic beverage control law. He serves as general counsel to the North Carolina Beer & Wine Wholesalers Association and the North Carolina Nurses Association. He is also the town attorney for Enfield in Halifax County. Kris represents creditors in debt collection matters, assists small business owners, and represents professionals before licensing boards such as the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners and the North Carolina Medical Board. Kris is also certified by the NC Dispute Resolution Commission as a mediator in Superior Court matters. A native of Charlotte, Kris graduated cum laude from the North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he was a senior editor of the law journal. He attended North Carolina State University before graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. Kris is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in North Carolina, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, and N.C. Professional Lobbyists Association. He is also a member of the NCBA’s Lawyer Referral Service Committee. Kris serves as an at-large member on the Morrisville town council and sits on the Board of Directors for the Morrisville Community Fund. Kris was recognized as a “Rising Star” by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine, 2009-2014. His hobbies include hunting and saltwater fishing.
