Matt Arnold

Mr. Arnold is an experienced trial attorney who has tried bench and jury trials in both North Carolina District Court and North Carolina Superior Court and has argued cases in front of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, VA. Mr. Arnold grew up in Charlotte, and attended Carmel Junior High, South Charlotte Middle, and graduated from Providence Senior High School. Mr. Arnold earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology graduating cum laude from Belmont Abbey College where he received a basketball scholarship and played varsity basketball for four years. Mr. Arnold attended law school on a full academic scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At Arnold & Smith, PLLC, Mr. Arnold mainly focuses his practice on family law cases: divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and other matrimonial law matters, as well as personal injury cases: dog bites, car accidents, workers’ compensation, and related issues. Mr. Arnold handles cases primarily in Mecklenburg County, Union County, Cabarrus County, Gaston County and Iredell County. Under some circumstances, Mr. Arnold will handle cases outside of the greater Charlotte and Mecklenburg County areas.
