James has practiced in Mississippi since 1981 with degrees from Millsaps College and the University of Mississippi. With the firm of Page Kruger & Holland in Jackson, he defends commercial, personal injury, product liability and premises litigation. He has completed numerous jury trials and has many reported decisions in both State and Federal courts and carries an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He presently serves a Vice President of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. He recently served on the Mississippi Supreme Court’s Civil Jury Instruction Committee as Vice Chair and worked as the Vice Chair of the Business Court Committee, appointed by Mississippi’s Secretary of State. He was chairman of the Mississippi Bar’s Summer School Committee which presents continuing legal education for Mississippi’s lawyers beginning on July 13, 2009. He is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He has completed a full term on the Board of Directors for the DRI, The Voice of the Defense Bar, as the Regional Director for the Southern Region and served as Chair of the DRI SLDO Relationship Committee and was the first chair of its DRI for Life Committee. In the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association he has served as President. He has been chairman of and a speaker for several of its continuing programs. He has been honored with membership in the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys [ADTA]; the International Association of Defense Counsel [IADC]; and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel [FDCC]. He has again been selected to the Best Lawyers in America in Commercial and Products Liability Litigation. He is a member of the Hinds County, Mississippi and Fifth Circuit Bar Associations.
