Mr. Sean Tierney

Sean Tierney is an experienced civil litigation and criminal defense attorney. Prior to co-founding Schoeneberg Tierney, LC, Sean was a founding member of the highly successful bankruptcy and consumer protection firm, Tierney & Westerfeld, LC. On joining Schoeneberg Tierney, Sean said, “I’ve always wanted the opportunity to devote 100% of my practice to litigation. When Wayne approached me with his vision for a full service trial practice, I knew he was on to something, and I knew the time was right.” Schoeneberg Tierney, LC was formed a short time later. “I love what I do. My clients trust me. That means everything to me. It motivates me. Because I put everything I have into every case, I tend to form long-lasting relationships with my clients.” Sean handles divorce, legal separation, adoption, custody, child support, and paternity cases. Sean’s criminal practice ranges from municipal ordinance violations to multiple-count felony cases. “Having the opportunity to work side-by-side with an attorney of Wayne’s caliber is every lawyer’s dream. I’m fluent in a handful of programming languages and a handful of operating systems. I’ve designed commercial systems that are still in operation today. Years of systems development mean I’m particularly well suited to litigate both civil and criminal cases involving computers and computer software.” Sean was born and raised in the St. Louis area, and although his practice brings takes him all over the state, he is happy to call St. Louis home.
