David Bach
MD, D.C. Circuit
I have 23 years experience representing parties in divorce, custody, child support, visitation, paternity, and guardianship matters. My goal is to plan for trial from the initial client meeting forward, while at the same time attempting to construct a reasonable settlement for my clients either directly with the other party or through mediation. I was certified as a Collaborative Practitioner March 2011. In addition to representing clients locally, Mr. Bach has extensive experience representing clients involved in international family disputes including divorce, child custody, division of property and family assets, as well as retirement benefits. He has successfully handled an array of cases related to complicated assets, valuation of businesses and real estate holdings. As part of his family law practice, Mr. Bach also works with families in guardianship matters. When an elderly person can no longer make essential financial and medical decisions, a guardian may need to be appointed to make those decisions. Establishing the guardian relationship requires careful attention to detail and full respect for the dignity and care of the elderly person involved. Sometimes a minor child or a child with special needs will require a guardian to handle financial, education and/or health decisions. Mr. Bach knows how to handle the process and help everyone involved understand their rights and obligations, including the periodic accounting that must be made to the court. Education Law is also an area of Mr. Bach’s practice. Mr. Bach works as an advocate on behalf of minor children including children with special needs, IDEA, IEP’s, 504’s. He currently Co-Chairs the Education Law section of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
