“I believe that 95% of my job is listening. My objective is to address all of your concerns and accomplish your goals by providing a personalized estate plan designed to fit your specific needs. I am a firm believer that estate planning is not a one-time event. As life changes, the plan should change with it. I believe in developing lifelong relationships with my clients.†Attorney Marco A. Schiavo is one of the founding partners of Simmons & Schiavo, LLP. Marco’s focus is in estate planning with an emphasis on creditor protection, probate avoidance, estate tax reduction and business succession planning. In his representation of families through probate administration, he has personally witnessed the impact that the lack of an estate plan or a poorly drafted estate plan can have on loved ones. These experiences constantly reaffirm his strong belief in the countless benefits of a trust-based estate plan. His trust planning provides a comprehensive set of instructions to maintain control of assets as long as his clients are able, creates a smooth transition in the event of disability and provides privacy and ease of property distribution (or further creditor protected trusts for future generations). This is done without delay and oversight from the probate court. Marco speaks Italian and Spanish fluently, has been a co-host and panelist at Spanish-speaking seminars and has been guest speaker on Spanish radio discussing various legal topics. At Suffolk University Law School, Marco focused his law school studies on Estate Planning and Real Estate Law. Prior to law school, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Babson College with a double major in Finance and International Business Studies. He is a member of the Massachusetts Guardianship Association and was admitted to practice in Massachusetts State Courts in 2001 and is licensed to practice in the United States Federal District Court. http://www.sslawoffices.com
