I was admitted to practice in 1988 and since that time have been in continual private practice. I am a member of the Kansas Women’s Attorney’s Association, The Topeka Area Bankruptcy Counsel and the Riley County Bar Association. I am a past President of the Riley County Bar Association and have appeared twice before the United States Supreme Court and routinely appear in Federal Court. I have argued cases before the Kansas Court of Appeals and the Kansas Supreme Court. Presently, I am co-sponsor of a bill to amend the Kansas Protection From Abuse Statute to allow the victims of abuse a greater time period to seek orders against abusers once they have testified in the abuser’s criminal trial. My valued paralegal also co-sponsors that bill.
