Amy Elizabeth Dohrendorf
Arizona
Amy Dohrendorf has been practicing law in greater Phoenix for over 15 years. She’s been with the Stewart Law Group and its predecessor firm since 2007, becoming a partner in 2015. A lawyer at heart even as a child, her dedication, hard work, and exceptional ability turned a youthful dream into reality. At graduation, she received a framed newspaper clipping from her Dad that said, “It wasn’t anything that you did or didn’t do as parents. I was born to be a lawyer!†In 1997, she graduated cum laude from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, receiving the Harold C. Lawson Memorial Law Scholarship, too. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from The University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2000. She began her legal career in criminal defense law, working three years as Assistant Public Defender with the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office. From there, she took on the challenging mantle of family law attorney. As a child of divorce, Amy knows her parents’ respectfulness and civility toward each other was the reason she and her brother had happy, healthy childhoods with strong bonds to both parents. Her objective today is helping clients achieve positive outcomes for their families, too. A divorce attorney skilled in all aspects of litigation, including law and motion practice, mediation, and trial, she never loses sight of the children’s best interests and strives to obtain the best possible results in every case. Away from work, Amy turns her boundless energy to fitness and fun. She enjoys snow skiing when and where she can (including Norway) and boot camp training. Her team, called the ‘Boot Camp Babes,’ collected over $80,000 in the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk for breast cancer research. She admits to just two obsessions, the Phoenix Suns and venti unsweetened iced coffee from Starbucks (her weakness).
