In 2014, Attorney Kala Sellers joined Arnold & Itkin LLP, bringing a passion for justice, which she pursues with tireless dedication on behalf of each of her clients. As a natural performer who grew up on the stage, Kala applies her skill, composure, and ability to thrive under pressure to the courtroom. Kala majored in Political Science at Duke University, where she received a Certificate in Policy Journalism and Media Studies. While maintaining her studies, she also completed an internship at CNN during a semester in New York City. After graduation, she continued her education at Baylor Law School to pursue her passion for advocacy. During law school, Kala was a member of the ABA Labor Law Mock Trial Team, the AAJ National Mock Trial Team, and the NCTC Mock Trial Team. Additionally, she was a semifinalist in an intra-scholastic mock trial tournament between every third-year Practice Court student, the Baylor Top Gun Competition. She graduated as a five-time member of the Dean’s List. After graduating from Baylor Law School, Kala went on to work for a small Houston firm that handles a variety of personal injury cases. She gained valuable litigation experience, focusing her practice primarily on catastrophic injury, maritime law cases, and commercial vehicle accidents. In her first ten months with Arnold & Itkin LLP, Kala has successfully tried cases to verdict in both state and federal courts.
