I’ve been a Realtor in Northern Virginia for over 25 years. I’m a recipient of many production awards – Lifetime Top Producer, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, etc – but my greatest satisfaction is knowing that over 80% of my business is referral based.

It’s too long a story for this small space but for several reasons, some business and some personal, a little over two years ago I decided to make working with heirs an important part of my business. Dozens of estate sales later, I still get great satisfaction helping families while they work through this difficult time. I know of no other agent in my market who has worked as many of these cases as me.

When on the market, probate cases are like any other real estate transaction. But pre-listing and post contract there can be unique twists and turns. I have the systems and experience to help guide you through that minefield. For instance, one of the biggest unknowns is whether or not the title is clear. You may think you know what is there but it isn’t always as expected. I can not tell you how many times the heirs were surprised by what is or is not on the county books. To that end, at no charge to you, I have a title report run as soon as we agree to work together. Most of the time the issues, if any are small, but twice this research caused us to delay going on market for several months.

No matter the condition of the home I can help. If it is market ready, let’s go. If it needs minor spruce up, I have contractors. If it is a complete remodel and an “as is” sale, I have a list of investors to contact.

And if you are struggling to empty the home, once you have all off the personal possessions out of the home, I can take it from there. I will connect you with estate sale vendors if appropriate. I can get items donated or hauled away.
