Richard Godshall

Rich Godshall is an experienced trial attorney whose practice focuses on catastrophic injuries caused by car accidents, truck accidents, construction site accidents, unsafe conditions and defective products. Rich comes to Ostroff Law with over ten years as a defense attorney and partner in a nationally recognized firm. He has extensive trial experience, including jury selection, lay and expert preparation, and cross-examination. He is also skilled in alternative dispute resolution methods, including meditations and binding arbitrations. His cases have totaled about $100M in settlements and verdicts. In joining Ostroff Law, Rich brings his firsthand knowledge of defendants and their insurance companies to the representation of injury victims. His unique understanding of how insurance companies evaluate cases allows him to ensure that each of his clients receives a fair settlement. Rich graduated from LaSalle University in 2001 and received his Juris Doctorate from Temple University Law School in 2004 where he achieved Dean’s List status and was awarded the Barrister Award for outstanding trial advocacy. Richard is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, state and federal courts. Rich has lectured and authored articles on numerous topics including punitive damages, surveillance law, liability of owners and general contractors in third party personal injury cases, and contract indemnity risk in construction projects. Rich is also a contributing editor to the “LexisNexis Practice Guide: Pennsylvania Personal Injury Litigation†(2012 Edition, LexisNexis Matthew Bender). Rich is a former Chairperson of the Construction Worksite Injury Subcommittee for the Defense Research Institute (DRI), a leading organization of defense attorneys with over 22,000 members.
