Paul Castronovo is an experienced trial attorney focusing on employee rights. His peers have chosen him for the New Jersey Super Lawyers® lists for employment law each year since 2006. In 2020, the National Law Journal selected Paul as one of 25 lawyers in the nation as a Trailblazer in employment law. As a trial lawyer, Paul has won more than $16.6 million in jury verdicts and judgments for his clients, including a $6,000,000 verdict for his client in a race discrimination case in Bergen County and one of the largest multi-million dollar verdicts in 2014 for a claim of maternity leave retaliation. In 2017, Paul won a jury verdict of $1,281,443 for a disability harassment case in Somerset County. He has argued twice before the Supreme Court of New Jersey on landmark whistleblower and sexual harassment cases (Hitesman v. Bridgeway, Inc. and Aguas v. State of New Jersey). In a written opinion, the New Jersey Appellate Division praised Paul’s written and oral advocacy as “masterful.†Earlier in his career, the New Jersey Law Journal reported that Paul was the first lawyer in New Jersey to use state law to win a jury verdict against the mortgage industry for unconscionable business practices.
